Become a Governor

Help to play a vital role in education: Governors
Are you passionate about education and making a difference in your local community? Join us as a school governor and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our schools.
By volunteering as a school governor within our Multi Academy Trust (MAT), you’ll help ensure our schools provide the best possible opportunities for every child, supporting their growth and success.
What type of Governor can I be?
Community governors:
Community Governors are members of the Local Governing Committee (LGC) who are closely connected to the local area—whether living or working nearby—or are simply passionate about helping the school succeed. Community Governors are appointed after a successful application process. For our Church Schools, two Community Governors are appointed by the Diocese, known as Foundation Governors, to ensure the school’s values align with its faith-based mission.
Parent governors:
Parent Governors provide an important voice from within our parent communities. While not elected to represent the collective views of all parents, Parent Governors contribute to decisions based on their own perspectives, always considering the broader needs of the entire school community. Their role ensures the interests of students and families are reflected in the school’s governance. Parent Governors are elected by the school's parent body.
