Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) operate more than one school which are state-funded directly by the Department for Education and are independent of local authority control. As a charitable company, we prepare and publish our accounts each year. Our financial year runs in parallel with the school’s academic year running between September through to August.
The majority of our funding comes directly from central Government and is calculated using the number of pupils within our schools. We also generate some income from hiring our facilities outside of school time. We follow the Academy Trust Handbook to ensure that the public money we are entrusted with is spent fairly and our spending decisions are achieving value for money for the maximum benefit of the children we support within our schools. Our finance team is passionate about the role professional services play within education and the positive impact it has on our pupil’s experience.
