Students Welcome New Head Teacher to Bath Church of England Primary School

Weston All Saints Primary School (WASPS) in Bath has welcomed a new Headteacher, Warrick Barton, as the school year gets underway.
Warrick brings ten years of leadership experience in his previous role as Headteacher of Pensford Primary School near Bristol, underpinned by a 30‑year career in education. His professional experience includes senior roles in two‑form entry schools across London, South Gloucestershire, and Bath (Moorlands School Federation), where he developed a strong track record in school improvement and strategic leadership.
Since 2021 Warrick has been part of the School Improvement team for The Partnership Trust, the multi-academy Trust to which Pensford and WASPS belong, contributing his expertise to the continued development the Trust’s schools.
WASPS has been teaching pupils on its current site in Weston since 1957 and has close ties with the local community and All Saints Church. Pupils attend services at Christmas and Easter and were recently involved in the recording of an Easter song, shared with other church schools across The Partnership Trust.
Warrick said:
“Ensuring that every child reaches their personal best, both in their learning and in their social development, is what drives me as a school leader. I am therefore enormously excited about working with staff, parents and the church community to lead Weston All Saints on the next stage of its journey. WASPS is an iconic feature of Bath, with strong Christian values, and I am determined to ensure it is a school of which parents, staff and children are incredibly proud.”
Emily Massey, CEO of The Partnership Trust said:
“The appointment of Warrick Barton to Weston All Saints Primary is exciting news for pupils, staff, volunteers, families, and the wider Weston and All Saints Church community. Warrick brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of supporting schools to flourish across The Partnership Trust. He is passionate about creating environments in which every child can thrive socially, academically and emotionally, and we are delighted to welcome him to the school.”
WASPS has Open Days for all prospective families on September 16 & 25; October 7, 12 & 21; November 6, 11, 16 & 217
